YOUNGSTOWN - Lois Ann Pronick, 87, of the city’s west side, passed away Monday evening, May 16, 2016, at Austinwoods Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Austintown.

Lois was born Feb. 20, 1929, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Glazzy Pronick, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1947 graduate of Chaney High School and worked for 40 years as secretary at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Youngstown, retiring in 2008.

Lois was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church and volunteered her time and talent for almost every church function. She was a member of the Rosary Society, the Senior Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and of the pyrohy and donut makers group.

Lois truly enjoyed playing golf and belonged to several area golf leagues, including the Ladies League at Bedford Trails Golf Course and the Greek Catholic Union Ladies League at Pine Lakes Golf Course in Hubbard. Lois proudly scored her first hole-in-one in July of 2001.

She leaves her cousins, Michael (Marilyn) Fabian of Arizona, Robert (Debby) Fabian of Austintown, and Audrey Rezapourian of Austintown; her nephews, David (Wendy) Kishton and Richard Kishton, both of Youngstown; and three great-nephews.

Her sister Dorothy Kishton, and her brother-in-law, Michael Kishton, preceded her in death.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 North Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a prayer service will be held at 5 p.m.

Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m., Saturday, May 21, at the funeral home and will continue at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 West Rayen Avenue, Youngstown.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
