George J. Kinnick

Founder/President – Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

George has been a funeral service provider to the Youngstown Community for over 50 years. He is a graduate of Youngstown East High School, Youngstown University, and of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He is a member of many funeral service provider organizations, including the National and State Funeral Directors Associations, the Ohio Embalmer’s Association, and the Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana Tri-County Funeral Directors Association, of which he served a term as president. Other affiliations include the Knights of Columbus, and the West Side Merchants & Civic Association, of which he served as past-president and trustee.

In 2012 George was recognized by the Ohio Funeral Directors Association for his 50 years of service and dedication to the funeral industry.  

He resides in Austintown with his wife, Mary Alyce. They have four children and eight grandchildren. George and his wife are members of St. Brendan Church in Youngstown.

Thomas E. Kinnick

Vice President – Licensed Funeral Director and Director of the Advance Funeral Planning Program

Thomas has been serving the Youngstown Community’s funeral needs for over 35 years. He is a 1977 graduate of Ursuline High School and later attended Youngstown State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.  Tom is a licensed life insurance agent and is the director of the pre-need funeral program at the funeral home. 

Tom is active in the community through youth sports, including Mill Creek Junior Baseball, where he is a team sponsor and manager, and he is also a Canfield High School assistant girls' golf coach. Tom is also involved with many other organizations in the community. He serves on the Dioceses of Youngstown Catholic Cemeteries board of directors, and is also on the board of directors of Compass Family & Community Services.

He currently resides in Boardman with his wife, Tina, and their three daughters. Tom and his family are members of St. Brendan Church, St. Christine Church, and the Basilica at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, each in Youngstown. 

Patrick Pellin

Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Patrick has been with the firm since 2001. He is a graduate of Western Reserve High School, Hiram College, and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Patrick is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in five states across the country and is also a licensed pre-need insurance agent. He is a member of the Ohio Embalmers Association along with the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, 14th District. 

Patrick is also a licensed Professional Firefighter, Paramedic, Firefighter Instructor, EMS Instructor, and Hazardous Materials Technician, and has been involved in the Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement fields for over 20 years. Patrick is currently the Assistant Fire Chief for Milton Township and is affiliated with many organizations in the fire, EMS, and law enforcement fields. These organizations include the International Association of Fire Instructors and the Ohio EMS Instructors Association. Patrick is also Chairman of the Board for the Newton Falls Joint Fire District. He has two daughters. 

Jillian M. Kinnick

Licensed Funeral Director

Jillian is Kinnick Funeral Homes' newest Funeral Director, having served her apprenticeship under her father, Tom Kinnick, following in his footsteps and becoming the third generation of funeral directors in the Kinnick Family. She is a 2007 graduate of Canfield High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University in 2011.

Mary E. Kirila

Advance Funeral Planning Consultant

Mary has been with the firm since 2016. She is a licensed funeral director and a licensed insurance agent. She specializes in advance funeral planning and providing peace of mind. She is professional and detail-oriented, as well as kind, patient, and a good listener.


John Machingo

Funeral Director Assistant

John has been with the firm since 2006. He is a graduate of Chaney High School and Youngstown State University. He holds a Master’s Degree from Westminster University and is a former Youngstown City school teacher. John and his wife, Peggy live in Boardman. They have three children and three grandchildren. John and his wife are members of St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church in Austintown.

Robert Burosky

Funeral Director Assistant, Emeritus

Bob had been with the firm since 1998. He is a graduate of Chaney High School and Youngstown University. He lives in Youngstown with his wife, Alice. They have three children and ten grandchildren. Bob retired from the firm in 2020 after 22 years of exceptionally loyal service.
