William Howard Simpson
October 8, 1942 ~ April 2, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years OldYOUNGSTOWN - William H. Simpson, 74, passed away, April 2, 2017, at Akron City Hospital.
William was born Oct. 8, 1942, in Cincinnati, the son of the late Lucian T. Simpson Sr. and Mary E. Benge Simpson.
Mr. Simpson earned a GED while serving the U.S. Army from 1961 until 1963, and he served for a time in the U.S. Army Reserves, earning the rank of Sargent. Bill also served in National Guard until 1978.
Bill was of the Christian faith, was an ordained minister, and held various jobs throughout the area.
His first wife, Marilyn Brasher Simpson, whom he married April 2, 1962, passed away Nov. 13, 1984. His second wife, Judy Blotzer Simpson, is also deceased.
Bill leaves his son, Brian M. Simpson of Mineral Ridge; his daughter, Tonya L. (Harry) Eichelberger of Mineral Ridge; four grandchildren, Justin and Jason Eichelberger, and Keith and Brianna Simpson; two great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Lucian T. Simpson Jr., Earl Simpson, Thomas M. Simpson, and Larry W. Simpson.
Besides his wives, five siblings, Angelina DeFabio, Nancy Tubb, Helen Anerino, Ronald Simpson, and Charly E. Simpson, are deceased.
Family and friends may gather, Wednesday, April 19, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, for a memorial service with military honors that will take place at 2 p.m.
