Mr. Rooney was in the same nursing home my mother is in.
He was a kind and caring man who loved to sing and I will miss his smiling face. He loved to sing to the residents on their birthdays.
My favorite memory of Mr. Rooney is when a friend came to sing and play his saxophone for my mother for her birthday. (This was just in January of 2017) Mr. Rooney joined in loud and clear and it was such a beautiful moment because it was obvious that singing made him so happy.
My sympathy to his family , I know he will be missed.

As we go through life's journey we meet a few special people , like Bill Rooney. It was always a pleasure to spend time with him in the past. He was a kind , compassionate , articulate man with a beautiful voice . Without a doubt he made the world a better place , and we're sure the world will miss him as we do . God bless a wonderful man.

Our sympathy to the entire Rooney family. We were pleased to have known Bill. He was a wonderful man and great singer. He was so loving to his family, granddaughter and great-grandkids. We are assured he is in Heaven with June, his wife. So is our Hope for our own lives. to be reunited with those who have gone before.
