December 25, 1930 ~ May 5, 2016 (age 85) 85 Years OldOLIVE BRANCH, MISS. - Natalie McBride, 85, formerly of Youngstown’s west side, passed away late Thursday afternoon, May 5, 2016, at Senatobia Convalescent Center in Mississippi.
Natalie was born Christmas Day, 1930, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Frank and Jennie Martone Zitello, and lived in this area until moving to Mississippi to live with her daughter five years ago.
Natalie was a graduate of Chaney High School. She loved to cook and bake, and was the owner/operator of Cuzon’s Catering for over 30 years. Natalie was famous for her coconut cream pies and for her kolachi.
Natalie belonged to various clubs through the years, enjoyed going to bingo, and she loved to bowl. She was a member of the Youngstown Women’s Bowling Association for over 40 years, and she spent 12 of those years as the Association’s Director. Natalie was inducted into the YWBA Hall of Fame in 2008.
Natalie loved taking long walks, watching tennis, spending time with her family, and spending weekends with her grandson.
Mrs. McBride was an active member of St. Brendan Church in Youngstown.
Natalie leaves her son, Fred (Chris) McBride of Hubbard; her daughter, Jennifer White of Olive Branch, Miss.; grandchildren, Mandy (Mahir), Andrea, Joshua, and Mitchell; a great-granddaughter, Makenzie; a sister, Gloria Jakubec; and a brother, Selone Zitello.
Natalie’s husband, Frederick A. McBride, whom she married July 9, 1955, passed away Sept. 28, 1982. A daughter, Melissa; a sister, Angela Bozin; six brothers, Benny, John, Sam, Robert, Anthony, and Frank Zitello; and a grandson, Timmy, are also deceased.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m.,Wednesday, May 11, and Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.
Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Natalie will be laid to rest next to her husband.
