I just found out about Dales passing. Don't know if you remember me but I was a childhood friend of Dale and Alan's. We lived on the street behind (Edgehill) and used to hop fences and cut thru the Lemke's yard to play. So sorry to hear about your loss.

I just learned of Dales passing and I hope that you receive this. I was Dale''s Division Officer (Boss) on the Nashville and I have many fond memories and photo's of him and his buddies both working and playing. I always have a find memory if Dale in the HT shop with his guitar, picking and playing. You raised a great son, brother and shipmate. God bless you.

I am glad that I was fortunate enough to meet a good man like Dale. He taught as he told his stories and he was always fast with an encouraging word or a joke. He always found a way to help you take a breath and see things a different way and cope better with a problem.

His attitude, sense of humor, his gentle demeanor and care for others seemed never to diminish despite the toll his illnesses and the treatments took on his body. He was truly a kind person.

Rest in peace.

Dale was like the brother I never had for over 55 years. Even when we had not seen one another in a while there was always the sense that either one of us could call on the other and we would be there. I will feel a great sense of loss until we meet again. I love you Dale

Dale was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He had a big heart and was always willing to help. I loved his stories from his time in the Navy, especially the one he was most proud of....his experience of becoming a Shellback. He had a lot of wisdom and had answers for almost anything. He was my co-worker, friend and neighbor. I will never forget him. He will always have a special place in my heart.
