Catherine A. Yurcho

CANFIELD - Catherine A. Yurcho, 65, passed away Tuesday evening, May 10, 2016, at Hospice House.

Catherine was born Sept. 29, 1950, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Ignatz Hryronak, and lived in the area most of her life.

Cathy was a graduate of Chaney High School and worked for many years for the Boardman Local Schools as a teacher’s aide, retiring in 2014.

Mrs. Yurcho was a member of Lockwood United Methodist Church.

She was active in the church choir, loved bingo and going out to lunch, and Cathy especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.

Catherine leaves her husband of 42 years, John Yurcho, whom she married April 26, 1974; four sisters Shirley Hryronak of Girard, Mary Lou Shinsky of Virginia, Barbara (Rick) Price of North Carolina, and Patricia Hustun of Boardman; three brothers, John (Sharyn) Hryronak, Edward Hryronak, and Steven Hryronak, all of Las Vegas; five nieces, Michelle Muransky, Cheryl Kelty, Janine Dallies, Natalie Keeney, and Amy Brown; a nephew, Johnny Hryronak Jr.; a great-nephew, Alex Muransky; and two great-nieces, Brooklynn Dallies and Sarah Kelty.

Besides her parents, four brothers, Nicholas, Joseph, Herbert and Michael Hryronak, preceded Catherine in death.

Family and friends may gather from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 17, at Lockwood United Methodist Church 4570 Lockwood Blvd., Youngstown, where a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, Catherine’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lockwood United Methodist Church 4570 Lockwood Blvd., Youngstown, OH 44511.
