Annamarie "Mary" Graziosi
August 23, 1928 ~ September 29, 2016 (age 88) 88 Years OldHUBBARD - Annamarie “Mary” Graziosi, 88, former;y of Girard, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, Sept. 29, 2016, at Hospice House, surrounded by her family.
Annamarie was born Aug. 23, 1928, in Introdacqua, Italy, a daughter of the late Ernest and Rosina Volpe Artista, and came to Girard with her family as a child.
Mary was a graduate of Girard High School and later worked at Highland Dairy.
She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Youngstown.
Mrs. Graziosi was a die-hard Cleveland Indians fan and she loved attending her grandchildren’s school functions. Annamarie enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Her husband, Dominic Graziosi, whom she married Aug. 29, 1953, passed away in May of 1993.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory five daughters, Rosemary (Jerry) McBurney of Girard, Jean (Stan) Grabaskas of Hubbard, Phyllis (David) Freeman of Liberty Township, Lisa (Robert) Hartman of Cortland, and Annemarie (Todd) Hover of Hubbard; nine grandchildren, Joseph Colapietro, Jennifer Grabaskas, David (Pamela) Grabaskas, Anne (Matt) Stanko, Lauren and Lindsey Sloan, and Andrew, Zachary, and Dominic Hover; a great-grandson, Lukas Grabaskas; her companion, Ted DeVincent; her twin sister, Jenny Sforza; a sister Connie Mick; and a brother Ernie Artista.
Besides her husband, a sister, Gina Strain, preceded Mary in death.
Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 222 S. State St., Girard, where funeral services will take place at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at Belmont Park Cemetery in Liberty Township, where Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband.
