Walter J. Natyshak

AUSTINTOWN – Walter J. Natyshak, 75, passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning, July 5, 2018, at his home of natural causes.

Walter was born Dec. 17, 1942, in Youngstown, a son of the late Walter and Ann Pastor Natyshak, and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a 1960 graduate of Wilson High School, and spent two years in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Walt worked for Aeroquip / Republic Rubber, and then for 25 years on the assembly line at General Motors in Lordstown, retiring in 2003.

He enjoyed being outdoors and doing yardwork.

Mr. Natyshak was a member of St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church in Austintown.

Walter leaves his wife of 47 years, Joan Simko Natyshak, whom he married Sept. 19, 1970; a son, Eugene E. Natyshak of Austintown; two daughters, Sharon (Brad) Shaw of Boardman and Donna (Mike) Morgan of Austintown; three grandchildren, Christopher, Braden, and Michaela; and a brother, Gregory Natyshak of Florida.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Family and friends may also call from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, at the funeral home, where funeral services will begin at 10:15 a.m. After a procession to the church, services will continue at 11 a.m. at  St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, on the northeast corner of Kirk and Raccoon Roads in Austintown.

Interment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
