Virginia Jorgenson Obituary

YOUNGSTOWN - Virginia Bennett Jorgenson, 100, of the city’s west side, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, December 29, 2022, at Austintown Health Care Center.

Virginia was born October 5, 1922, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Alexander and Dixie Ballard Ingram and came to the Youngstown area in 1950.

She dedicated her adult life to raising and caring for her family and also held several jobs outside the home with different companies throughout her lifetime.

Virginia enjoyed riding the bus to do her shopping and visiting with her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Randall (Margaret) Bennett of Youngstown; 12 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

Virginia will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her first husband, Fred Bennett, her second husband, William Jorgenson, a son, Alton Bennett and a daughter, Monte Harmon, and four siblings also preceded Virginia in death.

There are no calling hours or services.

Private interment took place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
