GIRARD - Timothy Morgan, 76, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away Wednesday morning, March 20, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren with his family by his side.
Timothy was born September 12, 1947, in Youngstown, a son of the late Whit and Ethel M. Bryant Morgan and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a 1966 graduate of Girard High School and attended Youngstown State University where he was a member of the basketball team.
Tim worked for Syro Steel and other local steel mills for many years. Tim was also a co-founder of Morgan Construction.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Timothy had a passion for sports and recreation. He found joy in playing ping pong and pool, and his love for sports extended to his active participation in flag football, track and basketball during his younger years. Notably, he was a proud member of the Harlem All Stars.
Timothy leaves to forever cherish his memory his wife, Deborah Lockaton Morgan; his two sons, Timothy (Annette) Morgan Jr., and Troy (Shelli) Morgan both of Florida; his daughter, Tiffany Morgan of Girard; two grandchildren, Nicole (Daniel) Davis and Wydell Patterson; two great-grandsons; three siblings, Ruthie Morgan, Peter Morgan and Diane Morgan and several nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Tim will be remembered fondly for his vibrant spirit, unwavering love for his family, and his enduring passion for sports and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Eight siblings, Bruce, Nellie, Bob, Paul, David, Rebecca, Charlotte and Delphine preceded Timothy in death.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 222 S. State St., Girard, where a funeral service will take place at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Kinnick Funeral Home to assist with final expenses honoring Timothy's memory and legacy of kindness.
