MINERAL RIDGE - Stephen M. Kascak, 68, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, March 25, 2020, at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Steve was born Jan. 21, 1952, in Youngstown, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Milkovich Kascak, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a 1971 graduate of Fitch High School and was self-employed as owner/operator of J&S Kascak Maintenance. Previous to that, he worked for Ohio Contracting.
Steve was a good husband, father, and grandfather, and he loved his family dearly. A devout Christian, Steve had a personal relationship with Jesus and read his bible often. He also had a passion for cars, and loved hotrods and car shows.
He leaves his wife of nearly 38 years, Debra Bixler Kascak, whom he married May 1, 1982; three children, Sarah M. (Zachary) Styke of Tennessee, Stephen J (Hannah) Kascak of Lordstown, and Kyle D. (Abbey) Kascak of Niles; five grandchildren, Bruce, Austin, Lilly, Stephen, and Scarlett; a brother, Edward (Anne) Kascak of Texas; and a sister, Mary Helen Lapushansky.
