Obituary

AUSTINTOWN - Robert C. Magada, 72, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 3, 2024, at Akron City Hospital following a brief illness.

Robert was born September 4, 1951, in Youngstown, a son of the late Guido and Rose Sipe Delisio, and was a lifelong valley resident. He graduated from Austintown Fitch High School and dedicated 33 years of his career to General Motors Lordstown before retiring.

Robert was a true sports enthusiast, passionately supporting the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Cavaliers. He had a zest for life that extended beyond sports, as he loved traveling the world and embracing new experiences. Those who knew Robert will remember his love for life, his adventurous spirit, and his warm smile that could brighten any room.

He is survived by his son, Robert J. (Kathy) Magada of Medina; his five grandsons, Adyn, Gavyn, Zavyer, Avery, and Reid; his siblings, Tom Magada of Austintown, Debbie Delisio of Poland, Caroline of Boardman, and Greg (Maria) Delisio of Michigan; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and his devoted canine companion, Sam.

Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Julius Delisio.

Family and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown.
