Priscilla Kordic Obituary

BOARDMAN - Priscilla D. Kordic, 94, formerly of Girard, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 24, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, following a brief illness.

Priscilla, who was affectionately known as “Neenee,” was born March 22, 1924, in Girard, a daughter of the late Antonio and Mary Perry Palmer, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a graduate of Girard High School and was a wife and homemaker who dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family. She also worked outside the home for many years at Perry’s Flowers in Girard.

Neenee was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard, and of its Women’s Altar Society. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader, and volunteered her time in the kitchen at St. Rose School, and with the Ursuline nuns.

Mrs. Kordic loved playing bingo and working her puzzle books. She greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren, and she especially loved baking with her grandson, Frankie.

Her husband, George James Kordic Sr., whom she married in 1947, passed away in 2002.

Neenee leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Georgene (George) Tuttle of Boardman and Marie Moody of San Antonio, Tex.; two sons, George (Lolly) Kordic Jr. of Boardman and Andy (Sue) Kordic of Dallas, Tex.; seven grandchildren, Meredith (Damien) Deist, Rebecca (David) Bayley, Vince Kordic, Geno Kordic, Frank Kordic, Ryan Kordic, and Andrea Kordic; two sisters, Louise Martin of Girard and Josephine Rossi of Niles; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Besides her husband, two sisters, Elizabeth Delgenio and Gloria Dutton; a baby brother, Johnny Palmer; and a son-in-law, Craig Moody, preceded Priscilla in death.

Family and friends may gather from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, at St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St., Girard, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.

Committal services will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Priscilla will be laid to rest next to her husband.
