Patricia M. Beno

YOUNGSTOWN - Patricia M. Beno, 77, formerly of Austintown, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 16, 2021, at Canfield Healthcare, with family by her side.

Patricia was born March 11, 1944, in Youngstown, and was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Margaret Slife Ernst. She was a 1962 graduate of Chaney High School and lived her life in this area.

She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker who devoted her life to raising and caring for her family, and she worked outside the home at several beauty salons throughout the area. Patricia was also involved in the gardening and landscaping business. She worked part-time for several years at Caseloma Gardens, and owned and operated with her late husband, Beno’s Nursery on Hopkins Road in Boardman.

Patricia was a member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown, and was a former member of the Saxon Club. She enjoyed doing cross-stitch, watching the Food Network and HGTV, and spending time with her family and friends.

Patricia is survived by two children, Todd A. (Judy) Beno of Canfield and Tara Joy of Boardman; a granddaughter, Kayla Yousko of Austintown; and a great-grandson, Brayden.

Her former husband, Thomas A. Beno, passed away in 1988.

Family and close friends may gather from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, in the chapel at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Austintown, where a committal service will follow at 11 a.m.
