Michael Julian Repetski

YOUNGSTOWN - Michael Julian Repetski, 75, passed away early Friday morning, July 22, 2022.

Michael was born December 20, 1946, in Wheeling, WV., a son of the late Walter and Josephine Sliwinski Repetski. Michael moved to Pittsburgh and came to the Youngstown area in 1969.

He was a 1964 graduate of South Park Township High School, formerly Snowden Township JR/SR High School, and obtained a technology certificate.

Mike worked for 48.5 years at Youngstown State University, where he was the head of the Electronics Maintenance Department. Prior to moving to Youngstown, Mike worked for two years at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

Michael was the heart and rock of his small family. He was the most kind, calm, and patient man. He was very active with his many hobbies involving the outdoors, yard work, working on cars, and fixing just about anything. Mr. Repetski was a very active member of St. Columba Cathedral.

On January 2, 1998, he married Denise Walters Dobson and they welcomed their only child, Katharine Elise Repetski on July 23, 2000. Younger than his years, he and his daughter loved spending time together outside.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 24 loving years, Denise Walters Dobson; his daughter, Katharine Repetski; a brother, John (Donna) Repetski of Oakton, VA.; three nephews, Christian "Rocco" (Valerie) Repetski, Matthew Repetski, and Stephen "Trey" Repetski, all of Oakton, VA.; a half-sister, Dolores Ebmeier; three aunts, Blanche Kyanko, Stella Schwan, and Mildred “Millie” Sliwinski, and many extended family members.

Mike will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Besides his parents, a half-brother, Walter Repetski, Jr., preceded Michael in death.

Family and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at St. Columba Cathedral 159 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
