MINERAL RIDGE - Margaret Bisciglia, 90, formerly of Austintown, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 12, 2018, at her home at Vista at The Ridge.
Margaret was born Sept. 13, 1927 in Newton Falls, a daughter of the late John and Mary Venuh Serotko, and was the youngest of 15 children. She attended Newton Falls High School and moved to Austintown in 1968 with her family.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker who also worked outside the home as a cook. She worked for My Place, The Gatsby, Country Kitchen, and for Michelangelo’s.
Mrs. Bisciglia was a member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown. She enjoyed bingo, cooking, and watching the Cleveland Indians play, and she loved to travel, especially to Tucson, Arizona, to visit family.
Margaret leaves her daughter, Kathy Fagan of New Boston, Texas; two granddaughters, Sherri (Hulon) Self and Gina (Bryan) Rosberry; two great-grandchildren, Justin (Jessie) Self, and their son, Jace, and Carissa Self; many nieces and nephews; many extended family members; her best friend, Dorothy Romeo; and Poppy.
Margaret’s husband, Dominic Bisciglia, whom she married Nov. 16, 1957, passed away, Aug, 22, 2000. Besides her husband, 14 siblings, including brothers, John, Michael, David, George, and Joseph, and sisters, Mary, Ann, Bea, and Suska, are deceased
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, June 14, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
Funeral services will begin at 10:15 a.m., Friday, June 15, at the funeral home, and will continue with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 4545 New Road, Austintown.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Newton Falls, where Margaret will be laid to rest next to her husband.
