AUSTINTOWN - Lita Marie Mack, 91, formerly of Youngstown’s south side, passed away late Saturday evening, May 12, 2018, at The Woodlands at AustinWoods.
Lita was born Jan. 27, 1927, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Catanzares Mack, and she was a 1945 graduate of South High School and a lifelong area resident.
Lita worked on the financial side of several businesses throughout her working life. She was a bookkeeper for 20 years for the Youngstown Northern Credit Union, and she worked in the cash room for Strouss’ Department Store. Lita also worked for several other area credit unions, and for Dollar Bank and for GMAC. She retired in 1994.
She was a member of St. Dominic Church in Youngstown. Lita bowled, golfed, and she liked arts & crafts. She loved all animals, especially cats.
Lita leaves a sister, JoAnne Ciccarello of Raleigh, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Judy Mack of Youngstown and Mary Lou Mack of Canfield; many nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and many extended family members.
A sister, Norma Hovanes; two brothers, Donald Mack and Ralph Mack Jr.; and two brothers-in-law, Frank Ciccarello and John Hovanes, preceded her in death.
Family and friends may gather to celebrate Lita’s life at 10 a.m., Monday, June 4, in the Stambaugh room at The Woodlands at AustinWoods, 4780 Kirk Road, Austintown, 44515.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Lita will be laid to rest with her mother.
