BOARDMAN - Kristen Sheets, 55, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at her home due to natural causes.
Kristen was born February 16, 1969 in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert C. Sheets and Anna Budway Sheets and was a lifelong area resident.
Kristen graduated from Chaney High School in 1987 before pursuing higher education at Youngstown State University. There, she earned her bachelor's degree in business administration. In her younger days, Kristen worked as a marketing agent in the pharmaceutical industry.
Her compassionate spirit led her to volunteer three days a week at Wind Haven House in Youngstown, where she dedicated her time to helping others. Kristen was also a member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown.
Beyond her professional and volunteer endeavors, Kristen found true joy in the company of her family and friends. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.
She is survived by her mother, Anna Sheets of Austintown; her two brothers, Robert Sheets of Austintown and Jeff (Julie) Sheets of North Lima; a niece, Emily; a nephew, Garrett; her long time best friend, Christi Zidian and Christi’s wonderful family and her beloved canine companion, Archie.
Kristen's warm presence and genuine kindness touched the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
Her father, Robert C. Sheets preceded her in death.
Family and friends may gather to pay respects from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at St. Joseph Church 4545 New Rd., Austintown where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m.
Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Kristen’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to either NAMI Mahoning Valley 201 Wick Ave., Youngstown, OH 44503 or to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation via their website https://msfocus.org/Donate.aspx.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
