YOUNGSTOWN - Kathleen P. Keevey, 76, of the city’s west side, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, Dec. 13, 2018, at The Assumption Village in North Lima.
Kathleen was born March 26, 1942, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Louis and Stephanie Pavin DiCiccio, and lived her life in this area.
Kathleen was a 1960 graduate of Struthers High School, and earned a bachelors degree in elementary education from Youngstown University. She was a teacher for 30 years and taught for the Struthers City Schools, for the Diocese of Youngstown, and she retired in 2008 from St. Nicholas Elementary School in Struthers.
Mrs. Keevey was a member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown, and she was a member of the National Catholic Education Association.
She leaves her son, Kevin Keevey, with whom she shared her home, and several favorite nieces and nephews.
Her husband, James J. Keevey, whom she married Aug. 6, 1966, passed away Dec. 11, 2000.
Private funeral services were held at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
Committal services were at Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown, where Kathleen was laid to rest next to her husband.
