YOUNGSTOWN – Jean M. Millard, 86, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, March 22, 2019, at Omni Manor in Youngstown with her family by her side, following a brief illness.
Jean was born Oct. 21, 1932, in Draffin, Ky., a daughter of the late Mont and Lulu Bingham Crum, and had lived in this area since she was 16 years old.
Mrs. Millard was a homemaker who enjoyed people. She worked outside the home as a hostess/greeter at Burger King in the Southern Park Mall, and then at the Burger King on St. Rt. 224, for a total of 24 years.
She leaves a daughter, Peggy (Thierry Pomies) Millard of New York City; five grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine (James) Childers of Canfield.
Jean’s husband, Allen Millard, whom she married in 1956, passed away in 1986. A daughter, Patricia Millard; a son, Harold Millard; and several brothers and sisters are also deceased.
Per Jean’s wishes, there are no calling hours, and private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
Jean enjoyed her time at Omni Manor and cherished the many friendships she made with the staff and residents. Mrs. Millard’s family thanks the staff with Omni Manor for the kindness shown and care given to Jean during her stay.
