Donna J. Streb

MCDONALD - Donna J. Streb, 88, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, April 4, 2024, at Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge. 

Donna was born October 26, 1935, in Mecca, Ohio a daughter of the late Bessie Ainsworth Givens and was a lifelong Trumbull County resident.

She was a graduate of Bazetta High School and after graduation, Donna embarked on her most fulfilling role - that of a devoted wife and mother. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to raising and caring for her family.

A woman of unwavering faith, Donna was a proud member of Woodland Park United Methodist Church in McDonald. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often found with her nose buried in a book or engaging in a spirited game of bingo. Donna had a penchant for shopping and delighted in cozy Hallmark movie nights surrounded by loved ones. Above all else, her greatest happiness came from the cherished moments spent in the company of her family.

Donna is survived by her three children, Gary Streb (Milly Williams) of McDonald, Sherry (Lynn) Sutton of McDonald, and Lori Smaltz of Howland; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Larry Hillier of Niles; and her sister-in-law, and best friend, Audrey Kwiecien of Youngstown.

Her husband of 59 years, William Richard Streb II, whom she married June 26, 1953, passed away November 20, 2012.

A son, William Richard Streb III also preceded Donna in death.

Per Donna’s request there are no calling hours or services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
