ORANGE CITY, FLA. - Carol Leonard Mraovich, 64, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, at Fish Memorial Hospital in Orange City with her family by her side.
Carol was born Nov. 15, 1954, in Youngstown, and was the daughter of James, Sr. and Molly Richey Leonard Sr.
She was a 1973 graduate of Girard High School and worked for Syro Steel after graduation.
After leaving Syro Steel, Carol pursued a career with the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles, ultimately reaching the position of General Manager after 29 years of service. Carol was a true, hardworking professional who loved her work, life, and family.
Cocoa Beach was one of Carol’s favorite places to be while visiting with her parents and brother, who lived there during the winter season.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Kayla Mraovich; her granddaughter, Caroline; her mother, Molly Leonard of Girard; her brother, James Jr. (Carol Kobal) Leonard of Girard; and her niece, Mandy Leonard of Baltimore, Md.
Her father, James Leonard, Sr., preceded Carol in death.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a prayer service for Carol which will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main Street, Girard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Girard.
