YOUNGSTOWN - Zulma De Jesús Malave, 53, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and daughter, passed away Sunday evening, February 18, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Zulma was born May 27, 1970, in Cayey, Puerto Rico, a daughter of Jose De Jesús and Maria Malave and made the journey to the United States, on December 5, 2017 with her husband settling in Youngstown.
Throughout her life, Zulma exemplified unwavering dedication to her family. Her devotion to her roles as a wife and mother knew no bounds. She was adored by her husband, who always affectionately referred to her as his queen. Zulma's love and care radiated through every aspect of her life, bringing joy and warmth to those around her.
Zulma is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Luis Bonilla, whom she married August 24, 1991, in Puerto Rico; her four children, Luis Manuel Bonilla, Gerald Bonilla, Zulmary Bonilla and Zulymar Bonilla; her five grandchildren, Zulyelis Bonilla, Gabriel Rodriguez, Mauro Andres Perez, Zulymar Rodriguez and Liam Bonilla; her parents, Jose De Jesús and Maria Malave; two sisters, Maria and Desposoria; her father in law and mother in law, Lino Bonilla and Estabania Salgado and many extended family members who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
Zulma's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.
Family and friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a funeral service will be celebrated at 1 p.m.
