AUSTINTOWN - William J. "Billy" Stanko, 83, formerly of Youngstown's west side, passed away Sunday afternoon, Jan. 14, 2018, at Hospice House after an extended illness.

Billy was born April 25, 1934, in Youngstown, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Olenick Stanko, and lived his entire life in this area.

He worked for a time for Steelton Bakery in Youngstown. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Holy Name of Jesus Church in Youngstown.

Billy is survived by a sister, Katherine Matasy of Austintown, and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, John Stanko, and three sisters, Lorraine Ramhoff, Margaret Mary Stanko, and Cecelia A. Stanko, are deceased.

There will be no calling hours. Private family services will take place at a later date.

Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
