BOARDMAN - Vicki L. Scahill, 71, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, August 17, 2024, in the comfort of her home.
Born on June 23, 1953, in Youngstown, Vicki was the cherished daughter of the late Marshall and Jeanette Knight. She remained a lifelong resident of the area, deeply rooted in the community she loved.
A proud graduate of Wilson High School's Class of 1971, Vicki furthered her education at Victor George Beauty School, becoming a talented beautician. For many years, she worked from her home, skillfully balancing her professional life while dedicating herself to raising and caring for her beloved family.

As president of the Struthers Little Wildcats and through numerous positions with the PTA, she made a lasting impact on countless young lives. Her dedication was recognized in 1998 when she received the Lifetime PTA Award from Struthers Schools.
Faith was a cornerstone of Vicki's life. She was an active member of St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, where she generously volunteered her time as a CCD teacher for many years. More recently, she found a spiritual home at St. Luke Church in Boardman, contributing to various church organizations and functions.
Vicki had a flair for sales and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, which she channeled into selling Longaberger Baskets for over 25 years. She also shared a special bond with her sisters in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Vicki is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael T. Scahill, whom she married November 27, 1976; her three children, Molly (Denis) Davis of Boardman, Michael T. (Virna) Scahill Jr., of Phoenixville, PA and Bridget Scahill of Boardman; two grandchildren, John Patrick Blinsky Jr., and Liam Scahill and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.
