YOUNGSTOWN - Thomas M. Fechtel, 80, of the city's west side, passed away early Thursday evening, April 16, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital following a courageous battle with kidney disease.

Due to the virus pandemic, there were no public calling hours at the time of Tom's passing, and a private service took place at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown. Private committal was at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.

A public Memorial Mass is now scheduled and will be celebrated Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 10 a.m. at St. Brendan Church in Youngstown. Tom's family will receive condolences immediately following the service outside the main entrance of the church. If attending, please follow current social distancing guidelines and health protocols. To those who cannot attend services, or are uncomfortable doing so at this time, please keep Tom and his family in your prayers..

Memorial contributions may be made in Tom's name to the St. Brendan Church Memorial Fund, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown, OH 44509; or to the donor's favorite charity.
