POLAND - Steven P. Mazejko, 65, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Hospice House following a courageous battle with cancer.

Steven was born January 25, 1959, in Youngstown, a son of the late John and Kathryn Danylchak Mazejko and was raised in Struthers before moving to Poland in 1989.

Steven was a graduate of Struthers High School, Class of 1977, and furthered his education at Youngstown State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. He began his career as a manager at Hills Department Store in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and later worked as a welder at Youngstown Steel Door, where he dedicated many years of diligent service until his retirement.

An enthusiast of the outdoors, Steven found joy in the simplicity of nature and took pleasure in crafting homemade wine. He was a devoted sports fan, wholeheartedly supporting the YSU Penguins and the OSU Buckeyes.

Steve is survived by his two daughters, Brittany (Lawrence) Pawlik of Poland and Ashley Mazejko of Central Falls, Rhode Island; two grandchildren, Rosalie and Lawrence; and a brother, John Mazejko of Poland.

His sister, Sophie Mazejko preceded him in death.

Private services were held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
