Stanley H. Owen

MCDONALD — Stanley H. Owen, 88, of McDonald, passed away Sept. 18, 2026, in the comfort of his home, with his wife by his side.

Stanley was born June 26, 1938, in Washington, D.C., and was one of eight children.

After graduating from high school, Stan proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the early years of the Vietnam era. Following his military service, he began a long career with United Airlines. He started as a ticket agent and, through many years of dedicated service, ultimately retired as a loadmaster.

Stan was a longtime resident of McDonald and a faithful member of Niles First Church of the Nazarene.

In his younger years, Stanley enjoyed fishing and golfing and also had a love for Southern gospel music. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family. In recent years, Stan and AnnaLynn especially enjoyed spending time with and helping care for their great-grandchildren.

Stan leaves to forever cherish his memory his wife, AnnaLynn Rambo Owen, whom he married Dec. 20, 1963; his children, Mark (Sheri) Owen, Robin (Vincent) Smith and Cynthia Weimer; his son-in-law, Scott (Jayne) Roberts; 10 grandchildren, Ryan (Connor) Wright, William (Trisha) Weimer, Katie Owen (Brian), Jacob (Bobbie) Weimer, Amanda Owen, Michael Weimer, Mark Owen Jr., Margaret Weimer, Jason Owen (Shianne Bigelow) and Kassidy Weimer; eight great-grandchildren, Scarlett, William, Lily, Willow, Callum, Theo, Maeve and Olivia; his sisters-in-law, Vernafaye Milne and Cheryl (Chuck) Bickerstaff; and his brother-in-law, William “Bill” (Kathy) Rambo.

In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his infant son, William Randall Owen; his daughter, Kristi Lynn Roberts; his granddaughter, Danielle Weimer; his great-granddaughter, Charlotte Owen; and his seven siblings.

A celebration of Stanley’s life will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at Niles First Church of the Nazarene, 1822 Niles Vienna Road, Niles.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church, where a memorial service will follow at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Stanley’s memory to Niles First Church of the Nazarene.
