YOUNGSTOWN - Shirley A. McGee, 72, passed away very early Monday morning, Aug. 24, 2020, at Guardian Health Care.

Shirley was born July 7, 1948, in Garrettsville, a daughter of the late Oakie and Geraldine Wentworth Cross. She was adopted by her grandmother, Anna Wentworth, after her mother's untimely death and was raised in Leavittsburg.

Shirley graduated from Leavittsburg High School, and later moved to Youngstown's North Side. She worked odd jobs throughout the area, including waitressing and housekeeping.

She was a member of Pentecostal Faith Church of God.

Shirley leaves two children, Greg and Tamika; and several brothers and sisters, including her sister, Sandra Wood of Newton Falls.

There are no public calling hours, and private committal will be at Pine Knoll Cemetery in Lordstown at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
