YOUNGSTOWN - Shirley C. Dilks, 75, formerly of Girard, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, January 26, 2025, at Omni Manor.

Shirley was born September 9, 1949, in Parma, Ohio, a daughter of the late Victor Haag and Evelyn Knapp Haag. She was raised in Parma and lived there for many years before moving to Girard and the Youngstown area in the 1990's.

Shirley worked in the banking industry in her early years before dedicating her time to raising and caring for her family.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a devoted member of Highway Tabernacle, she was deeply involved with her church and found great joy in fellowship with her church family.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Tina (Geoff) Tvrdik-Etzel of Munroe Falls, Ohio; her son, David Dilks of Cuyahoga Falls; her brother, Tim (Mary Ann) Haag of Parma; three nephews and a niece.

Shirley will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place at 1 p.m.

Private interment will take place at Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown.
