Ruby J. Haylett

BESSEMER, Pa. - Ruby J. Haylett 89, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, Jan. 26, 2026, at Aventura at Assumption Village in North Lima.

Ruby was born Jan. 15, 1937, a daughter of the late Charles and Violet (McConnell) Reddick.

She was a 1954 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and worked as a bank teller, retiring from Peoples Bank of Western Pennsylvania. Ruby was a member of Bethel Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Enon Valley, Pennsylvania.

Ruby never passed up a chance to root for her beloved Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, a passion her family will always remember fondly.

In her spare time, she enjoyed tending her many flower beds, bird watching and riding her lawnmower to cut the grass. She also took pleasure in reading romance novels, assembling puzzles, helping her husband distribute produce from their garden, and above all, cherished time spent with her family.

Ruby is survived and will be dearly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Norman "Bud" Haylett, whom she married May 16, 1959. She also leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Michelle (Pete) Mirich of Boardman and Deborah (Alan) Grenamyer of North Jackson; her grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Sprankle, Krista (James) Ramson and Kevin (Carly) Mirich; and her great-grandchildren, Logan and Jordan Sprankle, Riley and Reese Ramson, and Owen Mirich. She was preceded in death by siblings, Robert Reddick, Leland Reddick, Vern Reddick, and Marilyn McDeavitt.

Per Ruby's request, a private celebration of life will take place at a later date. The family asks that you remember Ruby in your own special way.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
