WOODSTOCK, GA. - Rosemarie DeMichael, 79, a long-time resident of Youngstown's westside, transitioned peacefully, Dec. 7, 2015, at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton, Ga., with her family by her side.

Rosemarie was born Nov. 16, 1936, in Niles, a daughter of the late Marietta Ragazzo and Joseph Carmen Ciminero, and was the youngest of three siblings.

She was a 1954 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and of the Ohio School of Beauty. Rosemarie practiced her profession as a hairdresser for many years at the McKelvey Department Store. On May 18, 1957, she wed Marine Corps Corporal and lifelong Youngstown resident, Emil Samuel "Moe" DeMichael. They enjoyed 46 years of happy marriage and had three children together, before Moe passed away in 2003. Moe was a prominent local businessman and owner of DeMichael & Sons Auto Parts.

Rosemarie was an ardent Roman Catholic. She was parishioner of the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown and member of the St. Monica Guild.

Mrs. DeMichael had great artistic talent and particularly enjoyed handiwork and ceramics.

She is survived by her three children, Vincent, 56, of Rome, Italy, Marietta "Mimi," 54, of Las Vegas, and Patricia Diane, 52, of Woodstock; two sons-in-law, Kenneth Krainock of Campbell and Joseph Vogel of Woodstock; and four grandsons, Dr. Michael Ross Krainock of Riverside, Calif., Kris Andrew Krainock of Las Vegas, Nicholas Joseph Vogel of Woodstock, and Michael Evan Vogel of Woodstock, each recipients of boundless devotion from Rosemarie.

Per Rosemarie's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 11, at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 343 Via Mount Carmel Ave., Youngstown.

Committal services will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Rosemarie will be laid to rest next to her husband.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial contributions be made in Rosemarie's memory to the American Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
