AUSTINTOWN - Ronald E. Morris, 73, passed away peacefully late Saturday evening, Oct. 10, 2015, at Caprice Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.
Ronald was born Aug. 15, 1942, in Youngstown, a son of the late Joseph and Helen Esther Matiscik Morris, and was a lifelong area resident, spending 26 years living in Berlin Center.
He worked for 26 years for General Motors, Lordstown, retiring in 1993 as a driver in the van plant.
Mr. Morris was a member of St. Michael Church in Canfield. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering with cars, building various structures, fishing, and spending time at Berlin Lake.
Ron leaves his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann Terzak Morris, whom he married Feb. 20, 1965; three sons, David V. (Sandra) Morris of Youngstown, Thomas E. Morris of Stow, and John J. (Beverly) Morris of Catlettsburg, Ky.; two grandchildren, Emily C. and Daniel S. Morris; a brother, James (Diane) Morris of Youngstown; and a sister, Barbara (William) Hlebak of Columbus, Ga.
A son, Steven Michael Morris, passed away Aug. 15, 1990. Three daughters-in-law, Tammy, Rachel, and Lisa Morris, are also deceased.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. THURSDAY (10/16), at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 North Meridian Road, Youngstown.
Funeral services will begin at 10:15 a.m. FRIDAY (10/16), at the funeral home, and will continue at 11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Michael Church, Canfield.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
