NORTH LIMA - Ronald Cheatham, 79, longtime resident of Liberty Township, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Ivy Woods Manor. Ronald was born in Youngstown on June 19, 1941, and was the son of the late Walter E. and Leary Cheatham. He spent a few years living out in California, but lived most of his life locally in the Mahoning Valley. He attended The Rayen School and worked various jobs throughout his life. Mr. Cheatham had an interest in music, and he directed a band at Buckeye Elks and was a drill team instructor. He enjoyed singing and was a member of various singing groups. Ronald leaves two sons, and many extended family members in the Youngstown-Warren area. His wife, Barbara Jean Cheatham-Rushwin, whom he married June 21, 1980, passed away July 5, 2015. A private committal service was held Friday, April 23, 2021, at Belmont Park Cemetery in Liberty Township. Arrangements were entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
