Robert C. Winkle Jr.

AUSTINTOWN - It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the passing of our beloved Robert C. Winkle Jr., 71, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and incredible brother, who passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital following an extended illness.

Robert was born Dec. 12, 1954, in Youngstown, a son of the late Robert C. and Margaret Ragan Winkle and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a 1972 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and worked as a mechanic and maintenance worker for more than 30 years within the Youngstown hospitals before he retired.

He lived his life with faith, purpose, and unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Bob was an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and loved singing in the choir. He was also an invaluable member of Knights of Columbus Msgr. Mears council 3930.

Bob is survived by his wife of 35 years, Roxann Magalotti Winkle; his two daughters, Kimber Winkle of Austintown and Kristina Winkle of Youngstown; eight grandchildren; and his beloved brother, Daniel Winkle of Austintown.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown,
