Robert E. Doyle

YOUNGSTOWN – Robert E. “Bob” Doyle, 90, an Army veteran of the city’s West Side, passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, in the comfort of his home.

Bob was born May 10, 1936, in Pennsylvania, a son of the late James Doyle and Pearl Root Doyle. He spent most of his life in the Youngstown area and was a graduate of Canfield High School.

Bob retired as vice president of Naegele Outdoor Advertising after working his way up through the company.

Bob lived a fulfilling life as a husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed frequent vacations to Cape Cod with his wife, Barbara.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory two loving daughters, Kathleen Thomas of Boardman and Karen Doyle (Arretta Ketron) of Florence, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Leah; a sister-in-law, Patti Domen (Randy Johnson) of Roscoe, Illinois; and many extended family members.

His wife, Barbara A. Doyle, whom he married in June 1959, preceded him in death April 2, 2022.

Six siblings also preceded Bob in death.

Per Bob’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Cremation has taken place, and his family will retain his cremated remains.

In lieu of flowers, Bob’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
