YOUNGSTOWN - Noreen Gold, 80, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, Sept. 22, 2015, at Vibra Hospital of Mahoning Valley in Boardman, following a brief illness.

Noreen was born Jan. 21, 1935, in Youngstown, the youngest of seven children born to the late John and Nora Jackson Cummings, and was a lifelong area resident.

A 1953 graduate of The Rayen School, Noreen was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, and she was very proud of her Irish heritage.

She was a devoted Catholic and was a longtime member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown.

Noreen leaves to cherish her memory four children, Nancy (Steve) Hartley of Austintown, Kenneth (Brenda) Gold of New Middletown, Lisa Gold, with whom she shared her home, and Kevin Gold (Carrie) of Hubbard, all who dearly loved and supported her; seven grandchildren, Melanie, Jennifer, Melissa, Michael, Alexis, Haley, and Kylie; six great-grandchildren, Ella, Aden, Brady, Sophia, Elijah, and Adrienne; a brother, Richie Cummings of Youngstown; and many nieces and nephews.

A son, Jeffrey Gold, her former husband, William "Billy" Gold, and five siblings, preceded her in death.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., FRIDAY, Sept. 25, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m., SATURDAY, Sept. 26, at the funeral home and continue at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Christine Church, 3165 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
