AUSTINTOWN - Nancy Brooks, 80, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 11, 2015, at her home.

Mrs. Brooks was born Jan. 8, 1935 in New Castle, Pa., one of 14 children born to the late Vito and Josephine Bonura Johngrass, and came to this area as a young adult.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown. She enjoyed bowling, music in the park, and theater.

Nancy's husband, Louis M. Brooks Jr., whom she married Aug. 29, 1953, passed away July 7, 2009.

Nancy leaves her son, Robert A. Brooks of Austintown; two granddaughters, whom she and her husband raised, Sonya (Robert) Magallon of McDonald and Gina Brooks (Anthony) Batiste of Fort Huachuca, Ariz.; six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Gavin, Robbie, Abigail, Tyanna, and Kayla; two sisters, Mary Hurd of Boardman and Rose Greco of Hillsville. Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, a daughter, Elaine A. Brooks Tylicki, passed away in 1984.
