YOUNGSTOWN - Michele R. "Mickey" Planton, 68, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, September 5, 2024, at Hospice House following a short battle with cancer.
Michele was born October 6, 1955, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late William Gollner and Rita Fabian Gollner and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, Class of 1974, and worked at various retail establishments over the years including Western Auto Parts and Dollar General.
Known for her creativity and skill, Mickey loved knitting, cooking, canning, and baking. Her pizzelles and clothespin cookies were treasured by friends and family. In her younger days, Mickey enjoyed hitting the slopes for skiing and spending time on the golf course. Above all, she cherished the moments spent with her loved ones.
Mickey is survived by her son, Jason (Toby) Jugenheimer of Canfield; her daughter, Jaime (James) Beaudis of North Jackson; two grandchildren, Grayson and Emerson Jugenheimer; her sister, Janine Gollner Kemper of San Carlos, CA; two brothers, Bill (Amber) Gollner of Ashburn, VA and Tim (Sharon) Gollner of Wimauma, FL and many extended family members.
Mickey was preceded in death by her parents, a her sister, Suzanne Myers.
Per Mickey's request there are no calling hours or services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
