YOUNGSTOWN - Michael James Stevenson, 41, passed away early Friday morning, July 12, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital due to injuries sustained from a traffic accident on Thursday.

Michael was born January 19, 1983, in Youngstown, a son of James Stevenson and Tamara McOwen and was a lifelong area resident.

He was self employed as a mechanic and truly enjoyed working on cars, which was his life.

Mike is survived by his parents, James Stevenson and Tamara McOwen of Youngstown; his grandmother, Margaret Stevenson of Youngstown; his two sisters, Danielle (David) Brannan of Hubbard and Dana Coyier of Austintown; a brother, Ryan Coyier of Youngstown; several nieces and nephews and many extended family members.

His maternal grandmother, Kathryn Musgrave, paternal grandfather, Dean Stevenson and beloved canine companion and best friend, Tito are deceased.

Family and friends may gather to pay respects from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Mike's family suggests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
