GIRARD - Michael K. Miller, 54, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

Michael was born Jan. 18, 1962, in Suffolk County, New York, a son of George Miller and Susan Guadalupe, and moved to this area three years ago.

Mike was a graduate of Division Avenue High School in New York and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

A sandblaster by trade, Mike worked several jobs throughout his adult life. An admitted "adrenaline junkie," he loved to skydive and he liked to live life on the edge. A man who's motto was "don't sweat the small stuff," Mike loved life and was a very funny guy who loved to make others laugh, and he enjoyed his family very much.

Mike leaves his daughter, Erica (Jonathan) Gilbert of Girard; his son, Christopher Miller of Tallahassee, Fla.; three grandchildren, Xavier, Hunter, and Lucy; his mother, Susan; a brother, Christopher (Joanna) Miller of California; two sisters, Kathy Miller of Oklahoma and Susie Miller of New York; and several nieces and nephews.

Per Mike's request, there will be no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 222 S. State St., Girard.
