AUSTINTOWN - Michael S. Borsic, 78, passed away Feb. 5, 2016, at his home.
Michael was born March 27, 1937, in Youngstown, a son of the late Michael and Mary Lozo Borsic, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Borsic served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964, where he earned his GED, and was a mechanic who worked for various companies in the area.
Mike loved to bowl, and he was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. He enjoyed Mahoning Valley Scrapper games, and was a member of the Austintown Memorial American legion Post No. 0301 and of the Austintown Senior Citizens group.
Mike's wife, Joan Uscianowski Borsic, whom he married April 17, 1992, passed away Oct. 8, 2013.
Michael leaves two sisters, Kathryn Heffinger of North Lima and Eleanor (Thomas) Geidner of Poland; nine nieces and nephews, Mary Catherine (Thomas) Wargo, Donna Jean Morell, Wendy (John) Rindy, Tammy (Dennie) Mathes, Lauri (Troy) Sauerwein, Amy Emerick, Debbi (Jay) Sanders, Tucker (Melanie) Heffinger, and Brent (Dara) Heffinger; 21 great-nieces and great-nephews; a great-great-niece; and a great-great-nephew.
Besides his wife, a brother, James Borsic, and a nephew, Thomas Geidner, are deceased.
Family and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church, 10143 Main St. in New Middletown, where memorial services will follow at 10 a.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
