YOUNGSTOWN - Michael Lamont Bettikofer, 70, passed away Sunday evening, July 21, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with his family by his side following a brief illness.

Michael was born February 3, 1954, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Edward L. And Sarah Brannon Bettikofer. He was a graduate of Southwest Miami High School and came to the Youngstown area shortly after graduation.

Mike drove truck for many years with various companies throughout the area. Outside of his career, Mike had a passion for riding his motorcycle, feeling the freedom of the open road. In his younger days, he also enjoyed playing golf. Above all, Mike treasured the moments spent with his family, creating bonds and memories that will be forever cherished.

Michael is survived by his wife of 25 years, Denise Brooks Bettikofer, whom he married November 21, 1998; his three sons, Mike Bettikofer of Dalla, GA., Albert (Andrea) Bettikofer of Fayetteville, NC., and Jesse Bettikofer of Youngstown; four granddaughters; two grandsons; his sister, Edwina (Dale) Nitzsky of Florida and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Two brothers, John and Marvin Bettikofer preceded Michael in death.

Per Michael's request there are no calling hours or services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
