AUSTINTOWN - Merle O. Webber, 76, passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, July 10, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown following complications from surgery.
Merle, who was known to many as "Web," was born Oct. 6, 1939, in Rogers, a son of the late Merle O. Sr. and Helen Titus Webber, and was a lifelong area resident.
He worked for 20 years at Youngstown Steel Door, and retired as a truck driver for Gold Star Industries in Columbiana.
Mr. Webber was of the Methodist faith.
Web enjoyed fishing and he truly enjoyed the time shared with his family.
Web is survived by his wife of 56 years, JoAnne Irvine Webber, whom he married June 25, 1960; three sons, Steve (Tammy) Webber of Abilene, Texas, Frank (Amy) Webber of Austintown, and David (Joann) Webber of North Jackson; a daughter, Karen Pipino of Youngstown; 10 grandchildren, Jenny, Shelley, Melissa, Rachel, Frankie, Alicia, Nicole, Dana, Matthew, and Daniel; two great-grandchildren, Alexa and Josie; and two brothers, Russell (Ruth) Garvin of Philadelphia, Pa. and Norman (Christine) Webber of Youngstown.
His twin brother, James Webber, and two sisters, Barbara Ann Tovtin and Fern Grzejka, preceded him in death.
Family and friends call from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 North Meridian Road, Youngstown.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 14, at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
