GIRARD – Matt D. Schall, 52, loving brother, son, and father, passed away Thursday evening, Aug. 25, 2018, following a brief illness. Matt has now been called to be with his brother and soulmate in heaven, his twin, Mark Schall.

Matt was born Jan. 30, 1966, in Youngstown, a son of Everette "Earl" and Mary Bennett Schall, and was a lifelong area resident.

He had a passion and talent for fixing just about anything, which he boldly credited as due to all the many great things that his father had taught him over the years.

Matt was well-known for his infectious smile, boyish good nature, and his unending love for family and friends. He was an avid and earnest music lover who knew just about everything regarding the rock and roll genre.

Matt leaves his loving and dedicated parents, Everette and Mary Schall of Austintown; three beautiful daughters, Melinda, Christa, and Mattie Schall, for whom he had unending pride. He will also be greatly missed by sister, Carrie (Tim) Shahan; nieces Mandie (Steven) Christopher, and Mary and Sydney Shahan; many extended family members; and countless friends.

He will live on in the hearts and memories of all those who loved him. The Schall family is grateful to all those who loved Matt and touched his life.

Matt was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa, and his twin, Mark.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon, Friday, Aug. 31, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where funeral services will take place at noon.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, where Matt will be laid to rest next to his brother, Mark.
