Mary K. Turk

YOUNGSTOWN - Mary K. Turk, 64, formerly of Girard, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, Jan. 8, 2026, at Omni Manor.

Mary was born May 21, 1961, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Anthony and Marian Ferree Turk, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1979 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and a member of St. Rose Church.

Mary generously gave of her time as a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, where she worked in the mailroom delivering mail throughout the hospital. She also volunteered with WRIL, serving as the transportation secretary, roles she took pride in and enjoyed deeply.

In her free time, Mary loved baking and took great pleasure in cheering on her favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and willingness to help others whenever she could.

Mary is survived by her brother, Anthony (Sandy) Turk of Denver, North Carolina; her sister, Kathy (John) Rocco of Austintown; nieces and nephews, Tony Turk, Ryan (Erin) Turk, Julie (Cody) Moore and Kristy Rocco and several great-nieces and great-nephews; and extended family members.

Private services will take place at a later date.

Mary will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Girard.
