AUSTINTOWN - Mary Agnes Toman, 76, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, July 9, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Agnes was born February 21, 1946, in Hubbard, a daughter of the late Stephen and Agnes Salata Kutsko, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1964 graduate of Ursuline High School and was also a graduate of Lewis Weinberger and Hill Cosmetology School as a licensed cosmetologist. She later dedicated her adult life to raising and caring for her family.

Mrs. Toman was a long-time member of St. Christine Church.

In her younger days, she was a member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown and was active in the Home and School Association where she started the annual school craft shows. Mrs. Toman was also active in many craft shows throughout the area.

Mary Agnes was a member of the local Red Hat Society. She enjoyed gardening and entering her plants in the annual Canfield Fair. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, canning, crafting, crocheting, and photography. She was an independent sales representative, selling Longaberger Baskets. Mary Agnes loved dogs, especially her pups, Bailey and Bella, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mary Agnes leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 51 years, J. Richard Toman, whom she married February 20, 1971. Her daughter, Christine (Jason) Allison of Canfield; her son, Richard S. "Rick" (Penny) Toman of Lexington, S.C., and three grandchildren, Julia, Nicholas, and Ricky.

Two sisters, Dolores Jakovina and Elanie Arnal, and a brother, James Kutsko preceded Mary Agnes in death.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a Cursillo Bible Vigil will be held at 7 p.m.

Family and friends may also gather to pay respects from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at St. Christine Church 3165 S. Schenley Ave. Youngstown, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.

Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
