Obituary

AUSTINTOWN - Marlin H. Myers, 83, formerly of Miami Street in Youngstown, passed away peacefully early Sunday evening, Oct. 23, 2016, at Briarfield Manor.

Marlin was born Feb. 16, 1933, in Youngstown, a son of the late Howard and Johanna Braun Myers, and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a graduate of North High School and was a U.S. Air Force military veteran.

Marlin worked for Sealtest Dairy and in the supply room for Strouss' Department Store in downtown Youngstown.

He was of the Methodist faith.

Mr. Myers leaves nieces and nephews, Jim (Rev. Carol) Myers of Louisville, Ohio, Jerry (Debbie) Myers, Judy Myers, and Jan Myers, each of Austintown; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Crystal, Amy, David, and Charles Myers.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Roy Myers, and by a sister, Ruth Anna Myers.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 28, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m.

Committal services will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.
