YOUNGSTOWN - Mark T. Giesey, 58, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, September 7, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Mark was born January 5, 1966, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Boyd Lewis and Audrey Buchanan Messer Giesey Morris. He moved to the Youngstown area as a child, where he grew up and graduated from The Rayen School. He spent many years working as a dedicated truck driver before retiring.

He was a graduate of The Rayen School and worked as a truck driver for many years until he retired.

Mark enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as playing pool, watching TV and movies, and most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his kindness and will be fondly remembered for his warm spirit.

Mark leaves behind his daughter, Mary (Jeremy) Morris of Girard; his son, Mark T. Giesey Jr., of Youngstown; three grandchildren, Jeremy Morris Jr., Izzy Morris, and Allyana Reynolds; his sisters, Wanda (Marty) Thomas of Canfield, Connie Sorrell of East Palestine, and Mildred (John) Woods of Boardman; his former wife and friend, Gina of Girard; and many dear friends, including Miles Lee, Matthew Lee, Eddie Phillips, and Star Prokop

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by a baby brother, William T. Messer III.

Family and friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place at 1 p.m.

Interment will follow at Unity Brick Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Mark's family suggests memorial contributions be made to Kinnick Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
